What? In a change to their usual events, this one was during the day and outdoors. I took advantage of the daylight and shot the event using an analogue camera with film instead of a digital one.

When? 19th August 2017. Check their website for future events here.

'Big shout out to Dan Boyden and Naomi Waring from The Change Collective for hosting the Bee Garden and all of the fabulous artists, performers & speakers that took part including; Chifa K, Gadoora, the Akwaaba Choir, the Praxis Poets, Chatterbox, Marco Basaglia, Bashir Al Gamar, Aelaf, Hackney & Islington Amnesty, Grupo Senzala London, Storybank, Stop the Haringay DevelopmentVehicle, Abdul, Ella The Great& Luke Renouf.

A massive thanks going out to our volunteers, much love and appreciation for your help on the day xxx' - Welcome Cinema and Kitchen.

British Belles at Pinup Picnic in the Bar. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2017/10/british-belles-at-pinup-picnic-in-the-bar Who? The British Belles! 'Feminists promoting all round positivity with a vintage vibe.

What? 'Pinup Picnic in a Bar' ('Formerly Pinup Picnic in the Park' but it was super rainy so 'Barrio', Shoreditch kindly provided a roof over our heads). The British Belles are far better with words than me & they wrote about it here and thanked the brands who donated raffle prizes here.

When? 29th July 2017. Excitingly the photos were taken to accompany an article written by my friend Helen Vintage Singer for Vintage Life Magazine this month so we waited until that had been published before sharing the rest of the photos.

All of the photos were taken using a Nikon FM (an analogue, non-digital camera from the late 70s/early 80s using Fujifilm Superia 200iso, developed and scanned by snappy snaps). I absolutely love using film and I'm so grateful that Vintage Life Magazine let me.

Everyone I spoke to was so so friendly and stylish, thank you so much for letting me photograph you! If anyone wants their Instagram handles added here drop me a message on Instagram/Facebook or email and I'll pop them in over the next few weeks.

A Rainy Wedding at Our Lady and Saint Joseph's Church, Hanwell. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2017/8/OurLadyandSaintJosephsChurchHanwell BrentfordHanwellWedding (54 of 120)BrentfordHanwellWedding (54 of 120)

What was your favourite part of the day?

Erin - I'm not sure if I have a favourite part of the day it was all pretty great really - even in the rain. I think I probably enjoyed it more once the actual ceremony was over because then I could just relax and enjoy what was happening, seeing all our families and friends having fun.

Toby - The most memorable part of the day for me was seeing Erin walk down the aisle (although I couldn't actually see her until she was halfway up). I was expecting the day itself to be quite stressful and exhausting. Whilst it was certainly exhausting, it was anything but stressful. Despite the rain, everything seemed to run smoothly and it was lovely to see friends and family again.

Any tips for others planning a wedding?

If you're going to do a first dance have a bit of a practice beforehand. We had practised even though our dance was only a few minutes long but on the day realised that walking backwards with the dress on was quite difficult so had to change it last minute.

Have a pre-wedding/engagement photo shoot. It was really useful for us as neither of us had much experience in front of the camera and it meant on the actual wedding day we weren't worried about awkward poses or expressions and we weren't as self conscious in front of the camera.

Erin - It would have been useful for me if someone would have reminded me to relax and smile when walking down the aisle (they probably did but I didn't remember). I was a lot more nervous than I thought I would be and it was quite overwhelming having everyone looking at me especially as the way the church pews were positioned meant I couldn't actually see Toby until I was pretty much at the front next to him.

Anyone you'd like to thank?

We'd like to thank the mother of the bride for all the decorations in the church and hotel. She spent many hours making all the paper flowers and place names and helping with table plans among many other things. We would also like to thank the mother of the groom for organising the open-top-bus for all the guests. It was lots of fun even though it was raining and the bus leaked a bit. Just like to thank everyone for coming and making it such as special day and of course Maria for giving us such great photos to remember it by.

It really was such a special day and so much fun. Thank you so much for letting me share it!

Analogue Engagement Photography Session in Hampton Court. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2017/5/analogueengagementsessionhamptoncourt These two kept making each other laugh. Every now and then they'd check if it was getting annoying/making it hard to take the photos. It was the exact opposite; the laughing their heads off and making weird faces at each other ones are my favourites and I think they'll be the ones that they look back on in the future. They're both lovely people who clearly care about each other very much and they were adorable together without being gross. I asked them what the session was like and here's what they said:

'With digital you can look at the pictures afterwards and go ''oh no my eyes were closed let's do another one!'' But on film it's that whole excitement of ''oooooooo I wonder how they're going to look!'' And I know you get the odd one that isn't perfect but that makes it all that much more natural!'

We can't wait to show everyone the pictures! We were so excited wondering what they would look like and now we've seen them we can't wait to share them with our family and friends and shout about how amazing it was having film photos :)

35mm Film Analogue Portrait Sessions. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2017/5/35mm-film-analogue-portrait-sessions When I first got into photography, it was analogue cameras with film all the way. When I started doing it for work I decided digital was the way to go. I kept using film for personal pictures but I've always felt a bit shy about offering that option to clients.

My friend brought her new fiancé over from Spain for a few days so they very kindly agreed to be my guinea pigs to show people the kind of thing they can expect from a 35mm film photo session with me. (BTW he has my approval).

I know it's a bit of a niche so I'm fully expecting this not to be a massive money maker but I thought I'd put it out there incase, like me, anyone else thinks everything looks a bit more magical on film.

Getting Used to Being Photographed in Kew Gardens. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2017/4/getting-used-to-being-photographed-in-kew-gardens Weddings can SOMETIMES be a little daunting. There can be lots of people you know, lots you don't, lots you haven't seen for ages. You have to say stuff in front of them, maybe walking down a long aisle and will most likely have to be the first ones on the dance floor. Adding being photographed to this might be a bit scary. I'm pretty un-intrusive at weddings, just giving a little gentle guidance for couple and group portraits but without being at a wedding I've photographed it's hard to know how it'll feel.

I spent the morning with these two in Kew Gardens getting them used to being followed round by me and my camera in preparation for their big day. It was massively helpful for me too as I could work out how much direction they're happy with, what ways of standing seemed the most natural for them and generally getting to know what kind of pictures they like.

It was great to get to know them a little better and hearing about their wedding plans, looking forward to meeting their friends and family very soon!

First Birthday Family Photographs. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2017/3/first-birthday-family-photographs EalingFamilyPortraitPhotographer-2EalingFamilyPortraitPhotographer-2 (Maria) Why did you decide to book the photo session?

We wanted to celebrate our son's birthday but he's only one so we didn't want a big party. I thought we'd spend the money on pictures. Also I did my own newborn shoot and while they are nice and not bad for an amateur, they are missing that photographer's eye and understanding of light.

I saw the newborn pictures and they are really nice. He looks really cute. How did you feel in the morning before having the photos taken?

Felt ok, you had let me know what to prep so that was helpful. As we were doing our own props I was just trying to get them ready.

I really enjoyed the session, it was lovely seeing the park you chose and you were all great in front of the camera but what was it like for you?

The session was really good, you were a pleasure to work with and a natural with the baby. You listened when I had a particular idea and you tried to make that happen. In contrast I liked that you were constantly scouting the environment looking for good set ups rather than being completely led by us.

What are you going to do with the photos?

We've ordered some prints and we will get some later for others.

Some prints were included in the session fee but they had already bought some frames of different sizes so we adapted the package to accommodate these.

Any advice for people thinking about having a photo session?

Yes, have one. Lol. Also think about what end pieces you want. Where will you want the photos and how big they will be, aspect ratio etc. Which are things you suggested to and was very helpful.

I've recently added sturdy 'mounted prints' to my session package as something for people who want something between a standard photographic print and a framed print. If I've taken any photos for you before I had made this option available, email me at photographer@mariabrosnan.co.uk if you'd like to order something a little like this. They come with a white easel stand and a flat attachable hook so they can be displayed on a shelf, desk, mantlepiece or hung straight on the wall. Standard prints are still available too so get in touch asap if you've got something in mind that we can get posted in time for a certain special Sunday coming up.

Have a nice day!

A DIY Winter Wedding at Ealing Abbey Planned between England & Austria. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2017/2/EalingAbbeyWedding EalingAbbeyWedding-26Ealing Abbey Wedding Photography. Wedding Ceremony Miriam and Vinzenz met when Miriam went interailing around Europe with her friend Rosie in the summer of 2014. 'Vinzenz is Austrian and I have a friend who had been to Vienna and knew some people there. Se we made it one of the cities we visited. We arranged to spend some time with the family that my friend knew and when someone had to come and meet us, they sent Vinzenz.'

'We made most things ourselves and the ideas came from a few places. We wanted to make things ourselves because then everything is really unique, and can be exactly what you want it to be, rather than someone else's interpretation of your idea. Mostly ideas came from the season. It was a winter wedding and I wanted to create a warm, colourful atmosphere. The wedding had a rainbow colour-scheme, and this was just because I really love rainbow colours; if it's colourful, it's very me. So instead of numbering tables and stuff like that, we colour-coded them, and it was great.'

'Etsy is an amazing place for odd things, and for getting goods tailored to your specifications. Pinterest was a great place to refine vague ideas that we had by searching for similar things and seeing what other people had made. Also, if you have an idea, and you're not sure about it, just try it out and see! This is best way to find out whether or not it will work, or was a good idea. Lots of people helped us, but really the bulk of the work was done by my mum and my sister, Esther. Without them hardly any of the things would have gotten made.'

'We went for paper flowers because a) flowers are expensive all year round, but particularly in winter, b) they can be kept forever without the worry that they're going to go mouldy, or can super-easily be recycled, and c) then you can have a bouquet that has whichever flowers you want, in any colour you can think of! We didn't know initially whether or not it would be difficult to make the flowers, but actually, the bouquets were surprisingly easy, and didn't take up as much time as we thought they would to make (and making them was fun).'

'My wonderful aunt, Janet, made my dress. We decided what it would look like by looking for pictures of other wedding dresses that I really liked, and hunting for dress patterns that were the same style or shape. But we actually couldn't find a pattern for the type of dress that I wanted and poor Janet had to work most of it out without a pattern! But she did an amazing job (even if she was very stressed).'  EalingAbbeyWedding-6EalingAbbeyWedding-6

'I went very old-school and asked my aunt to make a long, midnight blue cloak for me to wear over my dress, with a widows peak hood. This isn't very traditional, but it was really cold that day and I was very glad of my cloak!' EalingAbbeyWedding-7EalingAbbeyWedding-7 EalingAbbeyWedding-8Blue Velvet Hooded Wedding Cape. EalingAbbeyWedding-9Keeping Warm for Winter Brides. EalingAbbeyWedding-10EalingAbbeyWedding-10 'The bridesmaids dresses were also all home made. I went out pattern hunting with one of the Maids of Honour and one other bridesmaid, we found patterns that we thought would suit everyone, and then asked all the bridesmaids to vote for their favourite. We then bought the same fabric in several different colours and distributed it and the patterns to the bridesmaids. The pattern proclaimed itself to be easy, but it really wasn't. Every single bridesmaid had problems with making their dresses and both my dress and their dresses were still being finished the night before the wedding! The process was, to be totally honest, quite stressful. But the bridesmaids all looked great on the day!' EalingAbbeyWedding-11DIY Rainbow Bridesmaids Dresses. EalingAbbeyWedding-12Origami Flowers in Ealing Abbey. EalingAbbeyWedding-13EalingAbbeyWedding-13 They got married in England because they had decided they'd live in Vienna. 'It didn't seem fair to always make the English do the travelling! And it's traditional to be married in the parish of the bride, so double reason! Wedding planning from Austria wasn't as stressful as we thought it would be - most of the work and really important things had been done/organised before I moved over to Vienna in August so really it was just a matter of keeping an eye on things, answering questions and emails and chasing up guests who hadn't RSVP'd!' Because Vinzenz is Austrian the wedding was a little mixed culturally.' EalingAbbeyWedding-22EalingAbbeyWedding-22 EalingAbbeyWedding-23EalingAbbeyWedding-23 EalingAbbeyWedding-24EalingAbbeyWedding-24 'Vinzenz here! During the mass I hardly noticed Maria taking photographs, which was great, because I didn't want to be distracted from the actual mass. Afterwards when we took the formal group photos, they were as efficient and enjoyable as they could have been, and at the reception it was like Maria was just a regular wedding guest, even though she took lots of photos.'

EalingAbbeyWedding-91EalingAbbeyWedding-91 'Traditionally Austrian weddings have games and things organized for the reception, and our Austrian guests performed a silly sketch for us about Vinzenz when he was a child, and how we met and got engaged, and played a fun game where the guests form lines that rotate and the bride has to run away from the groom for as long as possible. Likewise, because he's Austrian, we had a Waltz as our first dance.' EalingAbbeyWedding-89EalingAbbeyWedding-89 EalingAbbeyWedding-90EalingAbbeyWedding-90 EalingAbbeyWedding-92Trailfinders Rugby Club Wedding. EalingAbbeyWedding-93EalingAbbeyWedding-93 'Our tips for people getting married would be; don't get married at Christmas- everyone will be double stressed because of holiday preparations and the house will be crawling with people! Making stuff yourself is more personally time-consuming, but, it's also a lot cheaper than paying someone else to make stuff, with the added bonus that you end up with mad origami skills. Wedding preparation is stressful (which everyone knows) but it's really important to always take time out to just spend time with your other half - doesn't matter what you're doing, just take half an hour or an hour and go for a walk, get coffee, watch a film, whatever, but don't talk about the wedding (which is very difficult).

We'd especially like to thank Janet (the dressmaker), Andy, Clare, Judith, Phoebe & Rhys (the musicians), Esther, Rosie, Frankie, Ellie, Eleanor, Charlotte, Rebekah & Benjamin (maids of honour, bridesmaids and ring bearer, Father Timothy (who organised the church wedding), Ednea (cake and sweets table creator), Babs (who made one of the cakes), Ola (who did Miriam's hair) and Bridget, Neil and Gerhard (our parents).'

Massive thank you to Miriam and Vinzenz for sharing your thoughts on your wedding day. It was such a beautiful day and I really enjoyed photographing it. - Maria.

Goodbye 2016! http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/12/GOODBYE2016 I've just moved all the birthdays and anniversaries from my 2016 diary to a birthday book (so now I can stop that yearly totally unnecessary ritual). Looking back through 2016 prompted a whole lot of procrastination going through the year's galleries and although I did it for myself to take stock and get ready for the year ahead, I thought I'd put out a little digital, visual version of those Christmas letters we used to get from our mum's buddies. You know the ones that tell everyone what GCSE's their grandchildren had passed and what holiday mishaps and minor ailments they'd had during the year.

First; here are my favourite portraits. People have had them taken for all sorts of reasons and it's been really lovely to meet all of these.. now I'm noticing.. mostly women.. There's been kids photo sessions, baby sessions, quite a few people who just needed a decent picture for their website bios/linked in etc. or to show relatives abroad who hadn't seen them for a while. I did my first maternity session which I was a bit scared of because of the cheesiness but in the end I loved it!

'Ealing Portrait Photographer' 'Ealing Photographer' 'Ealing Portraits' 'Ealing Head Shots' Favourite Portraits of 2016Portraits photographed by Maria Brosnan throughout 2016. These are my favourites from times when someone's had a product or a service they've needed visuals of, or an event for their charity or business. Lots of others couldn't be shared because of clients wanting them to be kept private for various reasons. I've felt really lucky to be invited to these events and even luckier that I've been there doing my job which I love. I also really appreciate that people have put so much time and energy into their businesses and they've trusted me with how the public will view their hard work.

Events, businesses and projects photographed by Maria Brosnan throughout 2016. I started the year with a wedding I had photographed a few months earlier being featured in 'Rock 'n Roll Bride. I've looked at that blog for wedding photography and business inspiration for a long time so I was out of control excited about it. Over the year I've taken lots of photos for 'The Line' magazine which is made by 'Make it Ealing', it's really community spirited and shows the people of Ealing and what's going on around where I live. The edition I was most proud to have photos featured in was the Spring one where I shot the cover and lots of portraits of Ealing residents, including a doll with a monobrow and a mole that matches mine! In the Summer I was asked to explain the story behind my favourite carnival picture for Time Out magazine and it was put in their '50 years of Notting Hill Carnival' feature.

No two of the weddings that I've photographed have been the same but that couldn't have been truer this year. There have been church weddings in Hedge End, Ealing and Rome, Town Hall Weddings in Ealing and Chelsea, a pre-wedding ceremony and just the portraits at a very bejewelled wedding in Wembley. I get asked if I've got bored of weddings yet and I can safely say I can't imagine that happening. They're such fast paced, happy, emotional days, I'd be physically exhausted if I did them every day but I was just as excited about the last one I photographed as the first, but a lot less nervous! I still have one wedding left for 2016 but that'll have to have a blogpost of it's own.

'Ealing Photographer' 'Ealing Wedding Photographer' 'West London Wedding Photographer' 'Wedding Photography Ealing' 'Ealing Wedding' Favourite Wedding Photographs of 2016. Wedding photographs taken by Maria Brosnan throughout 2016.

I photographed this beautiful wedding in October but before I'd put any pictures on my website, I found out it would be featured in London Bride Magazine so I held the pictures back so I could show them all at the same time. London Bride only gets printed and published once a year so it was such an honour to have my photos featured and really great to have them in a magazine that's so specific to the city where I live. The pictures wouldn't have been featured without the cooperation of the people in them and all the wonderful details they organised for their wedding so thank you so much (if you've got this far in my rambling!).  L&JL&J Bridebook is a company that I follow on Instagram because they show lovely wedding pictures. They're hosting wedding awards in the new year and I've been nominated. I was a little wary because I thought it would be more of a judge of how many people you can get to click on the link than your skills as photographer but it's not completely vote based. Initially the nominees need votes, then the ones with the most votes will have their work assessed by judges. Their site doesn't ask for your email address or name when you vote, so if you'd like to, all you do is click herescroll down to the 'give vote' button and click on it. I'd really appreciate it.

Bridebook AwardsBridebook Awards

I've taken lots of personal pictures this year too that I haven't put in here. There's been outings, bigger trips, dancing around but also a whole lot of sitting at my computer in tracksuit bottoms.

I also went to my brothers wedding. I wasn't the photographer; I helped him and his fiancee find a photographer they loved so I could be fully present on the day. I was so happy to be a bridesmaid. I wanted to spend the day with my friends and family and see my brother getting married and throw confetti, laugh, cry, eat and dance. I know that personally, if I had been taking pictures, I would have had a moody resting face and a camera between me and all the lovely things happening. It would have been a completely different experience. I got a tiny little camera that fit in a clutch bag. I banned myself from taking any photos during the ceremonies or key moments where there might be the slightest chance of me missing out or affecting the photographer's photos e.g. confetti throwing, speeches, group photos, bride and groom portraits, cutting the cake and the first dance. This was REALLY hard for me and I practically had to sit on my hands but my brother wasn't expecting me to take those pictures and I didn't 'need' them for myself. I took casual pictures outside of those times and they won't win any competitions or anything but that wasn't why I was there.

I think that was a bit of a defining moment for me this year because as a photographer I feel like I should always be taking photos. It was a bit of a relief accepting that everyone needs a day off every now and then.

So, I hope that this Christmas you can schedule in some proper days off too, enjoy yourself and get ready for a wonderful 2017!

Now you know what I've been up to, why not drop me an email and let me know what you've been doing or find me on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter if that's more your bag.

All the best, Maria.

xx

One year on; a family photo session at The RAF Museum, Colindale. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/11/babyphotos Just over a year ago these two married in North London, celebrating with their family and friends at The RAF Museum in Colindale. I was delighted when they got back in touch to say they'd just had a baby girl and they'd like some more pictures taken. We took a lot of the pictures at their beautiful home but we thought it would be a nice idea to have some extra pictures at the museum to tie the photo session in with the wedding photos. It was an absolute pleasure to work with these two again and meet the gorgeous new addition to their family. Here are a few of my favourites; enjoy!  BABY221016colour-88BABY221016colour-88 BABY221016bw-59BABY221016bw-59 BABY221016colour-14BABY221016colour-14 BABY221016colour-20BABY221016colour-20 BABY221016colour-23BABY221016colour-23 BABY221016colour-36BABY221016colour-36 BABY221016colour-50BABY221016colour-50 BABY221016colour-61BABY221016colour-61 EalingPhotographer2EalingPhotographer2

Ealing Photographer on Tour; Japan. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/7/ealing-photographer-on-tour-japan A few months ago I went to Japan with my sister. Here are some pictures I've just sent off to be printed.  I've included a little info incase anyone's going.

We got an awkwardly timed flights with a stopover which worked out WAY cheaper than going direct. Our first hostel was a capsule hotel in Higashi Nippori, they had the traditional style communal baths which I was terrified of at first but got used to and liked in the end. The first stop was Tokyo, getting from the airport was really easy, the subway and tickets make a lot of sense and people are really helpful. We met Kyoto who I used to teach English in a former life. It was so lovely to see her and see what her world is like. She showed us some lovely parts of the city which were beautiful even in the pouring rain. She showed us how to get Suica cards which are Oyster cards but with cute penguins on and they worked in most of the cities we visited all around Japan.

JAPAN-82JAPAN-82 JAPAN-8JAPAN-8 JAPAN-9JAPAN-9 JAPAN-10JAPAN-10 JAPAN-1-2JAPAN-1-2 From England we got JR passes, you order them from outside the country and then you exchange the conformation for the tickets when you get to Japan. It's a lot cheaper than getting separate train tickets every time. You can get them for one or two weeks. We got the one week one so we could have a few days in Tokyo at either end of the trip. From Tokyo we took the Shikansen (bullet train) to Kyoto. We rented bikes from our hostel. I'm a really nervous cyclist but I felt really safe cycling there, we covered so much more ground than we would have if we had walked.  JAPAN-11JAPAN-11 JAPAN-12JAPAN-12 JAPAN-13JAPAN-13 JAPAN-14JAPAN-14 JAPAN-15JAPAN-15 JAPAN-16JAPAN-16 JAPAN-17JAPAN-17 JAPAN-18JAPAN-18 JAPAN-19JAPAN-19 JAPAN-20JAPAN-20 JAPAN-21JAPAN-21 JAPAN-22JAPAN-22 JAPAN-23JAPAN-23

Another awesome city. Even better because we met Jude's friend Kaori who showed us around and translated everything Gudetema (Lazy Egg, from the creators of Hello Kitty) said.  JAPAN-33JAPAN-33 JAPAN-34JAPAN-34 JAPAN-35JAPAN-35 JAPAN-36JAPAN-36 JAPAN-37JAPAN-37 JAPAN-38JAPAN-38 We both read 'Hiroshima' by John Hersey on the train. There's so much to do in Tokyo I'm really glad we left time to explore it more after seeing some other cities. I was really aware of not getting nudged or shoved at all even when it was really crowded. I always heard that Japan was really expensive but there are really affordable places to stay on hostelbooker and the cheap food is still absolutely delicious. I have allergies but in one of the hostels they gave me a card with words and pictures which made it really easy. I lost our lonely planet somewhere between Tokyo and Kyoto which was a bit of a pain. I've got really used to using online maps which would have got really expensive but all the 7/11s have wifi so you can re-load there.

Wedding Photography at Gesù Divin Salvatore & Villa Ottaviani, Rome. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/5/wedding-photography-at-ges-divin-salvatore-villa-ottaviani-rome Last month I squeezed as much of my camera gear into a carry on bag as possible and set off for Rome to photograph a beautiful Bolivian/Italian/Australian/English wedding.

As soon as I arrived at the church I saw an outside wall. I made the bride promise to stay still and led the groom to the other side of the wall so they could have their first picture together on their wedding day without seeing each other.

Lots of relatives travelled a really long way to get to this wedding and it was conducted in Italian, English and Spanish. Unfortunately the bride's grandmother couldn't be there so every time a group photo was taken of her side of the family they all said 'Granny' instead of 'cheese'. The bride and groom were fine with other people taking pictures and videos so they could send them straight over to her and other friends and family who couldn't make it to Rome.

After the ceremony I was driven around with the groom, the bride and her strong cousin who was a brilliant bag carrier and veil holder. They were congratulated by a lot of tourists at The Colosseum and even another couple whose wedding I think we might have crashed at The Garden of the Oranges.

The reception was at Villa Ottaviani. We ate a lot, we danced, the grooms mum and sisters gave a lovely speech and the band (who were amazing) let friends and family take turns singing for everyone.

Massive thank you to the bride, the groom, both their families and friends who made the day so special. I had a really great time taking these photos. I hope you enjoy looking at them. The bride and groom run a really nice bed and breakfast in Rome so if you want me to put you in touch, let me know!

Ealing Town Hall Wedding Photography http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/5/ealing-town-hall-wedding-photography These two walked into their beautiful, relaxed wedding at Ealing Town Hall arm in arm and celebrated at Lisa's on Pitshanger Lane.  It was so lovely to meet them in our pre-wedding meeting. They explained that they had looked at my pictures and they didn't need any pictures putting on make-up or doing up buttons; just the key moments of the ceremony and group pictures of their friends and family who are really important to them. So here they are:

St. Barnabas Church & Richmond Hill Hotel Wedding Photography. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/3/st-barnabas-church-richmond-hill-hotel-wedding-photography This was a gorgeous wedding. They got married at St Barnabas Church and celebrated at Richmond Hill Hotel which if you cross the road has one of the most peaceful, beautiful views of the Thames I've ever had the pleasure of photographing. Some of my favourite moments were; the bride and groom giggling at that line in 'Shine Jesus Shine' that's been funny since we were about 13, the boys' dedication to their Reservoir Dogs photo, the girls laughing at the boys' dedication to their Reservoir Dogs photo, opening the locket that was attached to the bride's bouquet and going from crying to laughing almost immediately during the speeches. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Featured Photography; 'The Line, Ealing' http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/3/featured-photography-the-line-ealing I get embarrassingly excited whenever I see my pictures in print. This time one of them is the front cover AND the pictures are credited so I'm pretty much a pain to be around. There are copies going through letterboxes and dotted around Ealing so have a little look. There's good stuff going on in our little corner of London.

I didn't think this would be the one they chose for the Doll House Museum article but it is. The owner is a wonderful person and has so many stories. She'd had an eye operation the day before but it didn't phase her at all. She complimented me on my posture which made my day. What to expect from your portrait session. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/3/ealingheadshotportraitphotography For whatever reason you need a picture of yourself where there isn't a glass of wine in your hand, there's nothing drawn on your face and no one is giving you bunny ears, drop me an email.

I have a plain black or white background that I can bring to you if you prefer but most of the time the pictures with the more natural background are the favourites. If you have a location in mind I can meet you there or you can let me know what you have in mind and I'll try to think of where might work best.

I photographed my own head shots and I found that I didn't need many. I just use one across everything; my website, Facebook, Instragram, Google+, Pinterest, Linked In etc. For that reason I'm happy to take lots of pictures during the session, send an online gallery so you can choose which ones you'd like edited in high res. The session and 2 high res. images is £80. Get in touch if you need more than one person photographed or if you have something a little different in mind.

MASSIVE thank you to Robin for giving me permission to share our favourite images from her session. She's a brilliant producer; currently working on a play that has it's last night on Sunday 13th March, the details are on her website here: http://robinlindeproductions.com

The links below are some of her past projects that I've photographed if you'd like a browse: http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2015/9/somewhere-london-bridge-part-walking-tour-part-performance  http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2015/7/summer-shorts

You get a link to an album of numbered low res images so you can choose your favourites to be edited properly and send to you in high res:

The Lensbury Wedding Showcase. http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/blog/2016/2/TheLensbury 'The Lensbury' is a beautiful hotel in Teddington by the River Thames; http://www.lensbury.com.  I photographed a wedding there and it was a really good venue. They were really accommodating and were strict enough with timings for everything to run smoothly but they did it in a way that stopped us feeling like we had to rush anything. They hosted a wedding showcase on 21st February. I found out about it quite last minute so I didn't have time to put a table together but I thought I'd make myself useful by taking some pictures for them to keep as a record incase anyone couldn't make it on the day.

The first two images are wedding photos that I took at The Lensbury. To see more of my wedding photography, follow the link below: http://www.mariabrosnan.co.uk/weddings.
